It was a hot summer day. A crow was very thirsty. He flew from one place to another in quest of water. But there was not a drop of water anywhere. All the ponds and ditches had dried up. The crow flew a long distance and was tired. Suddenly he saw a pitcher under a tree. The crow flew down and sat on the pitcher. He looked in to the pitcher. The pitcher had a little water. But the crow could not reach it. He looked around and saw some pebbles. He picked up the pebbles one by one with his beak. He dropped them into the pitcher. Dear Mita,
I received your letter yesterday. In your letter you have requested me to tell you about the story of a thirsty crow and its ready wit. Here I am going to describe it in short.
It was a hot summer day. A crow became very thirsty and began to fly here and there in search of drinking water. At last, it found a jar but there was very little water at the bottom of the jar. It saw some pebbles beside the pitcher and started to drop the pebbles into the jar one after another. At one time, water came into the mouth of the jar. Then the crow drank water and flew away.
No more today. I am fine. Please write to me soon. With best regards to your parents and love to the youngers.
Your loving friend.
Rita.
