Read the following text and fill in each gap with a suitable word based on the information of the text. 26 March is our Independence day. It is the biggest state festival. The days is celebrated every year in the country with great enthusiasm and fervour. It is national holiday. All offices, educational, institutions, shops, factories remain closed on this day. The days begins with 31 gunshots. Early in the morning The President and the Prime Minister on behalf on the nation place floral wreaths at the national Mausoleum at Savar. Then diplomats political parties , social and cultural originations, and freedom fighters pay homage to the martyrs. People from all walks of life also go there with rallies and processions. In Bangabandhu Stadium, school children, scouts and girl guides take part in various displays to entertain thousands of spectators. Educational institutions also organise there their individual programmes. Sports meets and tournaments are also organised on the day. 26 March bears a great significance in our (a)___life. He passed the Matriculation Examination from Kolkata Madrasa in 1980 in the first division. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in chemistry standing first in the first class from Presidency Collage,Kolkata in 1927 and was awarded gold medal. He obtained of D.Sc. degree in 1929 from London University. He was the principal of Islamia Collage and Presidency Collage. Kolkata in 1947 he came to the East Pakistan (Presently Bangladesh)and served as the first director of Public Instruction for the Government of East Pakistan from 1947-1949. He was also appointed scientific of the Advisor of the Ministry of Defense. After the independence of Bangladesh. Qudraat - E- Khuda was made chairman of the National Education Commission in 1972. He was appointed visiting professor of chemistry at Dhaka University in 1975 and served there till his death in 1977. The Government of Bangladesh honoured him with ‘Ekushe Padak’ in 1976 and ‘Swadhinata Dibash Purashkar ’ in 1984.
