(To) be on thin ice রপব -রিস্কি বা ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ কোন কাজ, যার ফলে কেউ বিপদে পড়তে পারে। “After not showing up for work, Mark is on thin ice with his boss.” ২. (To) break the ice- কোন কথপোকথন শুরু করা বা কোন পরিস্থিতি সহজ করে দেয়া। “We had a list of questions to ask in class to help us break the ice with our new partners.” ৩. (To) have a snowball’s chance in hell - কোন কিছুর সম্ভাবনা একেবারেই কম থাকা। “I told my friend Mike that he has a snowball’s chance in hell of dating his favorite celebrity. 4. (To) give someone the cold shoulder - কাউকে উপো করা। “She gave me the cold shoulder the day after I lend her some money. 5. (To) leave someone out in the cold - কাউকে কোন আলোচনার বাইরে রাখা বা সহযোগিতা না করা। “My boss left me out in the cold when deciding on the new project with the other managers.
